From my research I can find little information on the use of maca and endometriosis. Medical websites suggest not to use it when you have endometriosis as extracts from maca may act like estrogen and this can worsen endometriosis. Maca is marketed as a hormonal balancer but I've come across a few sites saying avoid use with endometriosis. I think mainly because it's not really researched! I suggest talking to your doctor and/or a naturopath and ask them if they have any knowledge on the matter.

I understand your want to come off the pill - I've found it awful myself.

All of the best!

Thank you so much for your reply! Is there any natural herbal remedies you can personally recommend? I'm so struggling with the pill and I really don't like taking it :-( it's very hard to know what to do isn't it! Wish I could just stop taking and go Onto something natural but I'm struggling to find out what's best to take or try! X

I haven't found a herbal remedy as yet but I am going to knuckle down this week and research it so I will let you know what I find! As for diet I have found cutting back on sugar really helps (there is so much hidden sugar even in "healthy foods") and I don't have dairy because I can't but I have a friend who has endometriosis and has cut out dairy and feels less pain because of this! I know there is an endometriosis diet - have you tried this?

I'll keep in touch in regards to herbal remedies and post on this thread again!

Chin up! There has to be something ! 😊

Have you checked out endo resolved? endo-resolved.com/diet.html

This page has a good diet outline and foods to avoid. If it's hard to totally cut out at least cut back on those foods and up your intake of good foods. There is also a list of vitamins and minerals to take.

This site natural-fertility-info.com/... backs up endo resolved and also gives a couple of other suggestions. I've also read quite a bit about acupuncture and endometriosis if that is something you are willing to try?

This site natural-hormone-health.com/... includes some herbs to take to help endometriosis as well as the diet to follow and vitamins and minerals you should have. The hormone health website suggests vitex which is a Chinese herb however have a read of this wellnessmama.com/8314/vitex... first. It says not to use with the contraceptive pill (which you want to come off anyway!)

Here's a journal article on Chinese herbal remedies if you are interested itmonline.org/journal/arts/...

This website talks about essential oils and herbs and teas everygreenherb.com/endometr...

I strongly recommend talking to your healthcare provider (GP or naturopath) before starting any herbal treatments however now you have a bit of information under your belt (hopefully) to discuss and a better idea of treatments available.

Hopefully this helps a bit!

All of the best xx
