Recently diagnosed with endometriosis

Hi, I have been suffering with sickness and diarrhoea for months and I finally had my laparoscopy yesterday which the surgeon told me they got rid of some endometriosis on my left side of my ovary but still confused as my doctor hasn't really explained much about this illness. Can anyone else shred some light on this, will it come back and how long does the pain last after the laparoscopy?

Thank you for your reply. I can't seem to get my head around the fact that I have endometriosis. The doctors have been extremely good at getting this diagnosis but they haven't sat me down and explained it all. I am now four days after my laparoscopy and feeling okay just been reading that it will probably come back. My fiancée and I are trying for children so I am steering away from the pill but I will look into the herbal tablets. Thank you for your advice x
