First I want you say that I love my Dr. She is the best that I've had however, the hospital in which she does surgery is not the greatest. They have been known to make mistakes and even when I've gone to the E.R with heavy bleeding they had no idea how to handle it. I would have to wait for my Dr. to call them with a plan. Anyway, I have been diagnosed with adenomyosis and will need to have my uterus removed I don't feel I need a second opinion I trust her diagnosis but I plan to switch hospital. My question is, how do I tell my Dr.?

Don't want to offend my Dr.
You tell her, thats what u do. Its your body and your life. Please don't worry about hurting feelings at this time. Its time to b an adult. I've encountered doctors that were intimidated by my knowledge I just kept moving on. I've been through tons of docs and some hospitals have better lasers than others. Not sure how she's handling your surgery.
She only does open hysterectomy's.
Just because u like her doesn't mean she's experienced enough 4 your situation. I don't know much about adenomyosis. I have endo. I also have interstitial cystitis. I had an open hysterectomy. U don't want it unless Dr. Is worried about damaging another organ as mine was with my bladder. I had gas for 6 months after my open hysterectomy and the healing is much slower than having it done laparascopically. Dont sign anything saying she can give u a hysterectomy depending on what she finds. U better do some research and find a different doctor. U should b going laparoscopically if at all possible Dont feel bad. I went through 15 doctors. Take advice from other members on where to go for help. I've fought this shit for 20 YEARS! Stay off the pill. Use diaphragm, cervical cap, or other birth control where hormones aren't going throughout your whole system.
