Hi, I woke up last Tuesday morning v.early and with lower abdo pain which isn't unusual as I have endo related pain quite a lot. The pain got worse and worse as the day went on, I took painkillers and tried my best to ignore my 'flare up'. I work in a hospital so one of the docs persuaded me to to go urgent care where I was expecting the usual 'it's your endo take a couple of paracetamols and it'll be fine' but not this time. I was sent to the surgery ward and admitted - 2 days later I was home minus my appendix and cyst covered Fallopian tubes. Has anyone else tried to ignore your 'usual pains' and ended up with something completely different?

Hi there
Hope you are recovered from your ordeal .i think when you have a chronic disease such as endo it's easy to to think everything is connected .I had an admission few months ago to hospital with hideous pain I thought it was yet another blocked Fallopian tube but no it was diverticulitis which I didn't know I had !!!!!!
Wishing you a speedy recovery
I often worry about this! I have pain in so many places but always attribute it to endo. But how on earth do we know when to get seen about pain that might not be "just endo" ?! Especially since my endo involves severe chest pain, pleuritic breathing pain et etc. Things a normal person would go to a&e for. It's scary as u might have put it off and ended up very unwell! Hope ur healing well xxx
