Leg pain?

Does anyone suffer with leg pain along with their endo pain?

I suffer terrible pain right down my calf's on both legs when walking quickly or for a long period of time, it's as if the whole bottom half of my leg goes numb and I really struggle to walk on it.

I was just curious if this is linked with my endo or a totally separate issue!

Thank you :)x

I get this too. In both lower legs. They are numb, tight and feel like they are going to burst. I then lose control of my feet and en up plonking them down and hoping I remain upright!

That's exactly how I would describe mine! I just didn't know if it was something totally different so I'm glad I'm not the only one! I haven't had my follow up appointment from my lap which was in November so I'm going to bring it up then!

Yesss I get this too!! I thought it was just me haha

I'm currently just waiting to go see a gynecologist to he diagnosed so I'm trying to get my head around what is linked with the possible endo.

What other symptoms did you have when you were getting diagnosed? X

Haha no you're not alone! I had symptoms for years but never actually realised what they were haha! I had horrendous period pains, like spending days in bed unable to move, migraines, terrible fatigue, mood swings, and i also had really bad pains during and after sex but they were just 'bad periods' according to my doctor! Everyone has different symptoms but the bulk of them are the same! Hope you get a diagnosis soon and if you need a chat just give me a message :) x

Yay it's not just me! If I walk slowly it's ok but if I do 'pressured walking' ie I've got somewhere to be it comes on after 2 mins or so. Aches to buggery and will wear off once I've been sat down for 10 mins.

It seriously gets to the point I have no control over my feet. I can only hope I place them down correctly so I don't fall over! And if someone gave me a million pounds to go faster I honestly couldn't! Lol.

Let me know what ur consultant says. I haven't brought mine up yet but will do when I see him in a few months.

Also have a look at PAD - peripheral artery disease. Seems to describe symptoms well but don't know if it's connected xx

Ah that's literally exactly the same as me. When I'm in uni and have to catch the bus I walk like a woman on a mission but I never actually end up making the bus because I've had to stop with my legs! I'm definitely going to bring it up with my consultant, now that I know I'm not the only one with this horrible pain! I'll have a look at that now :) xx

Hi,

Yes I have the same as you and they have found endo on ultra sound I'm having lap on Monday. I can not walk without pain, stand. Even when I lay down my legs drive me crazy. I have chronic back ache and sciatica, I get restless legs as well. Pains down my thighs, numbness and there's loads of women on here that get the same all with endo I'm not sure if it's a nerve thing and it depends on where the endo is growing. Kx

It's horrible isn't it! I had my lap in November but have had the leg pain since before that, I just didn't think the two could be related! I'm so glad I'm not the only one who has this horrible pain.. Definitely going to bring it up with my consultant when I see him! Good luck with your lap xxx

Hiya :)

I read somewhere that endo only affects above the knees but can't for the life of me remember where and I'm not sure why it would just stop at the knees!?

Is it a muscle pain in your calf or the pain down the front, sides and in the gap along the bone and calf?

I have shin splints which burn like crazy alomg the bone especially right in the centre at the front of my shin and in next to my muscle if I'm walking fast or have been on my feet for a while. They ease up if I hot and cold them in the evenings, 10 mins ice pack 10mins heat patch and keep switching.

Might help for some relief x

Hiya!

Hmm that is bizarre isn't it! Don't understand why it would stop at the knee..!

It's usually down the front of my calf but there can be days when my whole calf just aches! I hate it. Will definitely try the ice pack and heat pack for some relief, thank you! X

Yes iv had this for 2.5 years now. I was told it was spd. When the pubic bone moves because your hormones soften the pelvis. I have argued until my face was blue with doctors saying they were wrong and I wanted it investigated but they said no.

I have always believed it was all conectect and it is such a relief to know I was right and not alone.

What is SPD Sam? Don't think i've ever heard of it! You are definitely not alone. I thought I was the only one having this pain until I wrote this post but I'm so glad I now know that I'm not the only one! x

It's what they call pubic pain in pregnancy. When the pelvis softens due to the pregnancy hormones preparing the body for birth. I had a few pregnancy (miscarriages) when the pain started and it became much more sever (I was on crutches because I couldn't walk with the pain) around the same week I fell pregnant with my son. So I can see why they made a connection but my son is now 2 and SPD would disappear very quickly after birth.

Yes! I thought I was on my own with this symptom. Sorry to hear others have it too. I have leg pain, so badly that some days I find it hard to walk and shuffle about like I'm 90! I'm a primary school teacher who has to constantly bend down to tiny tables and chairs, which doesn't help in the slightest! I find wearing a Curaheat back and shoulder warming patch on my pelvis seems to alleviate it a little x

Well ladies I had my follow up appointment with the consultant yesterday and he said it's unlikely this is related to endo, he said endo is getting the blame for practically everything and he highly doubts this is related. . I'm now feeling a bit over the place because I know I'm not the only one with this horrible pain! I'm going to make an appointment with my GP and see if they can do something for me because I'm struggling with this pain more than anything else right now! X

Hi Alana. Yes, I get leg aches. I can get out of bed in the morning and feel like I've spent the night on a bike. My thoughts, calves and knees just hurt and feel heavy. I also get loads of muscle "bubbling" sensations. I've bought some magnesium oil spray from Holland & Barrett and it seems to help. The residue of the oil can irritate the skin a bit but it is worth it for the relief. I've tried telling my doctor about this but they have no idea what it is. Sorry you're going through this but it's also nice in a way not to be alone with it. Good luck and if you do ever find out I'd be grateful if you'd post.
