Does anyone suffer from nose bleeds?

Hi all,

Very silly question I know, but last night I had a nose bleed. Very strange because it came from nowhere!

Might just be me overthinking things but I wondered if it might have anything to do with endo?

It may have been completely unrelated but a couple of years ago a gp put me on mefanamic acid for 5 days before period was due and during it. I've never had a nosebleed in my life but the two months I took it I had really severe ones. I spoke to the gp and said he'd never heard of that happening. I stopped taking it and never had another nose bleed. It freaked me out too much to continue using it. As I say, this is just my experience but may be worth looking at what pain medication you're on for Endo.

Yep, my nose bleeds 1-2 days before my period, and my friend with endo is the same. Not massive but deffo a bloody nose. Doctors poo-pood it saying don't be silly! My endo friend is a natropath and has clued herself up on everything endo, treats herself with diet and herbs and has just had a baby. I manage my endo entirely through diet, and a few supplements, as I have no faith in conventional medicine anymore, due to complete lack of understanding, treatment or knowledge from the raft of doctors, specialists etc. I take the odd painkiller when needed so I know the nosebleeds aren't due to meds.

One of the ideas my friend came up with was that with endo sometimes before your period some people get so bloated or the blood vessels are under so much stress that your delicate nose vessels are bursting to relieve pressure and then remain a weak point so it happens every month. There are some other reports that mention endo has been found in the nose.
