Hi everyone, had my laparoscopy two weeks ago today. I had two chocolate cysts / endometriomas on my right ovary which they cracked open, drained and ablated. Peritoneal Endo on my right pelvic side wall and in the pouch of Douglas all ablated. Also had a hysteroscopy and removed some endometrial thickening.
The last few days thought I was having a bit of a break through and started to feel a lot better, pain seemed better, the bleeding stopped etc. I went for a walk with my Mum probably off about an hour an a half and I ended up in agony. The pain inside pulling more on my right side / ovaries than where the stitches are. I am feeling upset as I thought I was on road to recovery, I am wondering if anyone else has experienced this of if it just depends on the extend of endo that is removed? L x

I'm currently in the exact same position as you - two weeks post lap. Please don't be upset!! Even though you may feel better and have more energy your body is still healing!! Especially after what you've had done. It's a good sign you feel like doing more but still take it easy - everything in baby steps first! The pulling sounds normal - it's your body's way of saying that inside everything is still in the healing process! Please don't worry x
Thank you for your reply and words of encouragement, appreciate it
Is this your first laparoscopy too? and I presume from what you have about the pulling being natural part of healing, that you are experiencing the same type of pulling? L x
No it was my 2nd lap, though the first was just diagnosis. Similarish places I had mine excised from pouch of Douglas, off rectum, both ovaries unstuck, both sides of uterus and other sites dotted about. Pulling pain I have felt both times. The first time I felt it was when I walked half an hour to my GP to check my incisions. Explained the pelvic wall is a large muscle so it takes awhile to heal back together where they go through the belly button. The stitches and glue may be coming away but the inside is still trying to return to normal.
My surgeon also said I may feel worse pain before it gets better...so just keep that in mind. Your body has had an intruder for a long time so it's natural process (including scarring is bound to happen)
