So, i've been having a tough few weeks with everything. Since being to the urologist- and despite being told within a week i'd have a appointment for my scans and such i've heard nothing back in almost 3 weeks.
Being in pain and painful sex is causing such an issue in my relationship. My partner doesn't seem to understand at all how much it hurts me. He's been shouting and screaming that he 'has needs' even though i still do even if it means im in pain for days after. Ive tried to explain to to him so many times but its as if he doesnt believe how much it hurts me.
It feels like i try to explain what its like and how much pain and discomfort im in and no-one believes me.
Its so hard being with someone who cant and wont understand whats its like- because theyre only thinking about themselves.
Has anyone else had this same problem?
I feel like i can barely function on my own as a person and being made to feel guilty about my conditions as though ive chosen them is really wearing me thin. Im falling behind with university work and have still heard nothing from my gps referal back to gyenocology.
Feel so miserable.

Hey...x maybe contact gp weekly and keep on and on...! As for the partner part.. oh yes iv had all that... My ex now... He decided i was just making excuses and that i couldnt hurt as much as i was saying as all doctors were finding nothing and it was all in my head... Well i can gladly say it wasnt and i do have endo and adenmyosis too. Not happy i have them but was happy to know i wasnt crazy and he was wrong.. we broke up before i was diagnosed but he wasnt right person and id not wana live that way anymore. Just keep calm and keep a diary of when pains worse and describe how it feels and once you see a gynae you have it all written down and make notes of things you wana ask too as your mind goes blank in there and it all comes back once you have left.
hi lovely, you are going through it, its hard being in pain, and very hard when it appears that no one is listening especially the people that are supposed to be on your side, I don't have any real advise about your other half, im blessed with an understanding husband, but regarding you gp, just keep on and on, try to find out who and where they are refereeing you too, and try ringing his secretary, make it clear you can make any appointment any time, ( Cancellations do happen), when you do get your gyne appointment, make sure you write everything down all symptoms times dates, anything, ive got my lap on 21st to diagnose and treat if found,
Ask your partner to go along with you perhaps this will help him understand it is a real problem, talk about the sex issues in front of him to the doc, and ask the doc to explain why he thinks it is causing you pain, my pain in reference to sex is afterwards to, a little uncomfortable during and the occasional hit the ceiling pain,
I do have endometriosis. And polycystic ovaries too. I've had 2 laparoscopies so far. One this time last year to remove the endo from my ovaries and womb and such. Im unable to go private with a specialist as i dont have the money so have to just have standard nhs healthcare. Im being referred for another laparoscopy as endo has come back and theres a possibility that its spread into my bladder. Thankyou for the advice though. Much appreciated. X
Thankyou so much for the advice. Im going to have a look now. I found a few specialists but they are so far away from where i live- i have no idea how id be able to be seen by someone. Not that im going to give up.
After my last laparoscopy i was told theyd done the best to remove what they could but i know that most nhs surgeons not overly educated in endo can miss alot of it.
I live in Stoke-on-Trent in staffordshire. I don't drive either and im a student so i have virtually no money to get about really. Which doesn't always help!
So sorry your going through all this especially no older than you are, your just so young. I have a daughter that is your age. I do hope you can get your scans done soon and they can find what the problem is and hopefully in the mean time the boyfriend lightens up
