I am pleased to say I got pregnant 5 months after my lap, first month on clomid and have given birth to a beautiful daughter in October - wish you all the best, good luck xx

Awe congratulations :)

Thankyou for your response xxx

I'm starting clomid this cycle. Had a laparoscopy a year ago. How did you find it? Any success? I'm a little nervous as I've read it can make endometriosis worse.. But some people have had success from it. Would be interested to know your story. Wishing you all the best x

Hi, the clomid didnt work for me so they referred us for IVF which we were really pleased about but unfortunately when having a scan before we went they found a blockage in my tube and I had what was called Hydrosalpinx and they needed to remove my tube. I was very upset about it as previously my tubes were clear in the dye test but the consultant reassured me it was for the best as it could stop the IVF from working. So I had my first laproscopy in December and they removed my tube & drained a cyst.

I was convinced they would find endometriosis as I was so sure I had it due to all the symptoms I get but shockingly they said my endometrial wall is normal. I do have to go back for results though so I'm not 100% sure.

Do you have polycystic ovaries as well? That's what I have and I found the clomid was fine it just makes your ovaries a little sore from where they plump the eggs up.

Did they find endo when they did your first lap? Xx

Sorry to read all that, this infertility battle is so tough and so unique to everyone!

Apparently you become more fertile up to a year after a laparoscopy and I know people who have still managed to conceive with one tube, so wishing you all the best Hun, don't give up and keep trying naturally. You never know when a miracle can happen.

I ovulate, no problems with ovulation thankfully. I do have a low AMH egg reserve though, especially for my age. They recommended trying clomid as it could potentially produce one extra follicle which could be the one I need to fall pregnant..

I have one tube that is thin in the middle, so drains but not well. They found stage 2 endo at my lap a year ago and removed what they could which was one lump on one ovary and a few little ones on the other.

I've found I am getting more pain over the last few months so it must be coming back. I have terrible pain around ovulation which goes on and off till a few days into my period.

I've had IVF once, before the lap, and was due to try again on a different protocol and drugs in Feb. I then paid to see a consultant privately and she said I still have clomid and IUI as options on NHS. She said sometimes the more simple options can work by miracle so worth a try.

Working on my health in the meantime and cutting down on things that make endometriosis flare up. Also trying to lose a bit of weight.

Hoping they find issues that can be resolved easily from your results. Please keep me updated :)

Thanks Hun, yes it's very tough and everything takes so long.

Have you tried any of the fertility apps? There's a good one called ovia and it helps to tell you when you're fertile etc. I don't ovulate properly but i use it as a diary to work out when my next cycle is. It maybe helpful for you when starting the clomid.

I remember when I said to my consultant that I thought I had endo & he said that shouldn't stop me from falling pregnant so I think you have a good chance of the clomid working ESP after your lap & as you say it can increase your chances.

I've read that a good diet certainly helps ease the symptoms.

I am also trying to lose weight as i can't go over a certain amount of weight for the IVF but finding it difficult as I can't seem to stop comfort eating lately.

When do you start the clomid?

Good luck I have my fingers crossed for you xx

Starting clomid tomorrow, just booked in for my scan which will be Thursday.

I use an app called MyDays, I ended up getting the pro one cause I always use it. It is good to know roughly when your periods coming and roughly when your fertile days are. I now use the clear blue digital ovulation tests as well, the one that tells you your high fertility day too. Pricy but handy cause you know the exact window that you are likely to conceive.

I've always been bad with losing weight as I love to comfort eat too but the last two weeks I'm using the My Fitness Pal app. I use the free one and find its enough. It's really changing the way I'm thinking about food. I've lost a couple of kg so far but went away for the weekend so haven't lost anything, that could also be cause I'm on my period. So hoping to see the weight drop in a couple of weeks time. I find calculating the calories is encouraging me to make the right choices, even when eating out. Highly recommend it.

I've been reading about the endometriosis diet and they say to not have red meat, dairy, sugar, honey and I think grains.

Been ttc for 4 years now. We have complications on both sides. I'm very nervous about clomid, just praying I get no side affects and it doesn't flare the endo up!!

Let me know how you get on with your results. Have you got an app booked? Xx

Yes I've got the my fitness app aswell it's really good isn't it, it helped me lose quite a bit of weight last year.

I've just got back into old habits where I haven't been able to exercise cos of the op & then Christmas I've lost all my willpower. I got a smoothie maker for Xmas though so am trying that out at the moment.

Sorry to hear that, I feel for you. We also have complications on both sides but also came at a very bad time as my dad passed away which then obviously made it Difficult to try so maybe it would've worked for us if the timing had been different.

My friend got pregnant on her second cycle with clomid so it does work.

Is there anything you can take to help ease the pain? Hopefully you shouldn't get any side affects Though, try not to worry and stay positive ( I know it's easier said then done)

My next appointment is in March, I've got my scan next Friday which I'm nervous about as the surgeon found my other tube wasn't looking too good either & took a long time to pass the dye through, so I'm really panicking that they'll say I have to have my other one removed as well xx

Keep me updated Hun. Hoping all is okay.

Sorry for the delayed reply. A lot going on at the moment. Started clomid and have felt sleepy with it so far, not had any other side affects really.

Wishing you all the best with everything xx
