thank u for your reply daisy. We are trying at the mo. Came off the pill a year ago and have been " trying, trying" for the last six months. But endo seems to be getting progressively worse :-( it's hard to try when you are bleeding, stomach cramping, bloating and sex causing pain :-(

A We spoke to my doctor the other month about this. I've been okish but that's because currently I'm on prostap without them I'm a mess. We are hoping to start trying next year. My doctors said to try for a whole year and only then would they intervene x

It varies so much from doctors to doctors doesn't it! I think mine said six months then they would look into it. what is prostrap? I keep seeing people mention this.

I fell pregnant and am currently 31 weeks pregnan . I fell pregnant with no medical help at all after being told I couldn't have children just time and trying if you have any questions just send me a message. All I can suggest is time and don't give up. Also used ovulation tests. Hope it all works out for you! Xx

Agh thanks Becky. It's really encouraging to hear a good news story. Congratulations! Do u mind me asking how long it took u to conceive? I have got myself some ovulation tests and I think I've figured out I ovulate later than day 13.

So sorry to ask but has everything been ok with the pregnancy ? Endo not been an issue at all, i know we were told pregnancy helps with symptoms but nothing was said about the existing Endo tissue. Xx

Hiya, after being told I would never have children, I had two healthy babies! (Now 3 and 5) I had two laps 12 months apart and fell with my first, 6 weeks after my 2nd surgery. Even my consultant was surprised and then based on breast feeding etc, I was given a 2 year window to conceive my second. So, luck does play a part :-)

Has anyone said you might have issues? Like your ovaries look blocked or anything? Are your periods regular? Endo doesn't hurt your womb, if you get pregnant, if you get to implantation you'll be fine ;) it's just concieving that's the hard bit. Try not to stress. I know it's impossible, I don't think that ovulation tests help as they don't confirm you're ovulating and they ramp up stress on having sex. Just do it as much as you can. I swear by vitabiotics trying to concieve tablets. Even if they don't work for you they will prepare your body for pregnancy. Ask anyone with or without endo 6 months ttc is not long, it just feels like the longest time ever. I have been told I will never have children and have conceived 3 times. I have a beautiful daughter and I'm waiting on my early scan. They had just started me on clomid but before I took it I got bfp. There are tests your GP can do to check ovulation and hormones in general and you can get a test to check your tubes are clear. If this sounds smug, I'm really really not, I know your fear too well. The best thing is not to feel stressed. And there is so much to try before ivf. Best of luck, keep trying and don't feel alone with this, so many women have this fight. Xxx

I agree with Endopains about the different tests the hospitals can do as there can be all sorts of reasons why you may not be conceiving but these are usually done after you have been trying for a year. Hopefully because you have endo you can push for these earlier.

There is a big debate about opk tests. Some people feel reassured by them as they can firstly tell if you possibly have ovulated (It turns out I hadn't been ovulating for months so our all out baby making prep-which was beginning to get quite stressful when you are both working 12 hour days-was for nothing!). It can also give you a clearer understanding of when you ovulate if you do ovulate. Other people feel stressed by them. Your GP can refer you for Day 21 blood tests that will check you have ovulated but that won't tell you when.

I think the main thing everyone on here agrees with is that you are more likely to get pregnant naturally if you are not feeling stressed and anxious about getting pregnant. This, unfortunately, is easier said than done especially when you do not get your bfp each month!

Good luck to you & keep us updated. Xx

Thank you so much for your positive words of encouragement. I have been off the pill now since December last year and not using contraception. But have been actually trying ( ie having more penetrative sex) In the last six months. I know I need to chill and stop worrying. I think its fear of the unknown too. I'm waiting to see the gyne again so hopefully they will put me more in the picture as to what's been going on inside. My husband is being very supportive so I'm lucky on that front. He's always known it wouldn't be easy for us because I've had endo even before I've met him. Last laps showed adhesions to my bowel and bladder. So reproductive organs all clear. At the moment the I have a constant dragging feeling on my lower left so worried it's back again :-( time will tell. My mum had endo and I'm here, so there is some hope ha ha.

I still suffer horribly with pain but they say its my scar tissue stretching as the baby is growing. It took me a little over a year of trying. We actually decided to give up trying when I did fall pregnant as it was too much pressure on us and the next thing you know bam I'm pregnant. All I can say is relax about the situation and stay as healthy as possible. The pain I'm having now is horrible because I can't take my strong pain killers but It will all be so worth it. Hope your as well as can be xxx
