I have recently finished a course of prostap injections. My last injection was around two months ago but still no period. I have stopped getting all the side effects from the injections (hot flushes, mood swings, vaginal dryness) and I have started to get pain again but still no period, it doesn't help that I am a worrier and an over thinker so I'm probably just stressing over nothing. I just wonder if anyone would share their experiences with these injections. Roughly how long does it take for your periods to come back?! I know everyone is different so that's why I'm just interested to hear other women's experiences,
Thankyou x

The average is 6 months wait for periods to return - half of women will be quicker and almost half take longer and a small number will never restart their periods.
If you haven't restarted after waiting a year - then speak to your GP to get your hormone levels checked to see just how much if any activity there is from the sex hormones made by the pituitary gland.
also look out for you usual signs of pre-period time...bloating PMS moods spots constipation etc even feeling ovulation if that is something you normally notice. Once the menstrual cycle is woken up again - it's much the same as before.
In the mean time make the most of the time with no drug side effects and no endo activity - hopefully should be welcome break from it all.
