I had a lap in June (end of) this year and started IVF in August (early). But this time IVF was private so I don't know if you will have to adhere to some kind of NHS guidelines. The only thing I will say is that egg collection from my affected ovary was painful because it was still healing ( as in afterwards not at the time- you dont know its happening) but nothing that I couldn't bear. Better to start ASAP to stop it coming back and hopefully your drs will agree to start after your first period is over and done with. Good luck!
Hiya, when I had a chocolate cyst drained they gave me a 3month injection of prostrap to give everything a chance to heal. I was diagnosed with stage 4 emdometriosis and said I would need further treatment after I had my baby. The op was in September and had the ivf in December.
I was advised to move around as much as I could after the lap to help disperse the gas that causes the shoulder pain and also drink peppermint tea. Hope this helps and good luck. Xxx
