Diet wise the only thing ive found really affects my pain is eating high levels of fat. Had a chinese for the first time in about a year and was in agony. I had an op lap about 6 weeks ago and now only get niggly pains, that only need the occasional paracetamol if they start to get to me. It could be that my other previous health problems make fat more of an issue for me as ive had my gallbladder removed so cant process fat well, and had a sphincterectomy to my sphincter of oddi so have a constant low level of bile that drips through my digestive system which can irritate my bowel.
Hi there,
yes I find the Endometriosis Diet works best for me. I live completely wheat, gluten, sugar, cows milk and caffeine free. I also limit red meat to once or twice a month. I found the first few months quite hard sticking to it but now I am fine and feel much better. It really helps with the pain and fatigue
There are a lot of good books out there that explain it and have great recipes. I eat organic rice cakes (instead of bread) with organic and free range eggs, mushrooms and other veg for breakfast and cook a lot of whole grain rice with chicken and veg. I also use free from pasta and make my own sauces as many gravies etc contain wheat/gluten. Anyway I really can recommend it and there are also supplements you can use. I take an enzyme called Serrapetase and this really helps me a lot. I used to be in pain 2-3 weeks every month but now I am down to 5-7 days. Oh I also take Curcumin which helps
