Does anybody else get a feeling of a bowel blockage at ovulation and period?

Hello my lovely endo friends I have recognised a pattern to my bowel problems and they seem to get worse at ovulation and period it feels like my bowel ceases to work and leaves me in great discomfort any ideas? Xx

Hi Yazza - sorry to hear about your pain. I have endo adhered to my bowel and I've noticed lately that when I am having my period and sometimes ovulating I do get bloating and pain as well - the latter also goes down my legs and inflames my back, which I've noticed some others on the list mentioning recently.

For example, I am on at the moment and yesterday I had really bad period pains which set my stomach off - however, after a rather unpleasant hour or two it seemed to clear itself, almost like something had become untangled. Unfortunately, though, I don't have any particular ideas other than heated cushions and looking at your diet, which you've probably already done. I've always been a bit naughty - still drink tea, the occasional coffee, wheat, dairy etc - but I'm just embarking on a much stricter approach to see if that helps - much as I love food if being strict can make a difference, I'm realising it's worth it! I'm not sure if yoga or something similar may also just help 'loosen' you up.
