I know exactly how that feels i have bad lack of concentration just before I come on it's as if my body wants to sleep to prepare for it and then when I am on my tablets make me 10 times worse I'm forever being labelled as dosy :(

So sad to read this, I have had similar issues in that I have had absences due to symptoms and people at work just suddenly turned on me. One even openly shouted at me in front of others about it!

Huge hugs to you. They are not worth the upset, I just ignore their bad attitudes now and do my thing.

How are you doing now? Did it get discussed?

Hi. I was shocked to read your notice and the two replies that followed. My colleagues and employer have been very sympathetic and supportive. Many allowances have been made during my working day to support me. If you are ill there is nothing you can do about it. I am about to go for a full abdominal hysterectomy and have been told to take all the time I need. I have my told my boss I'll be off for 3 to 6 months, the reply was "we just want you well and pain free". Colleagues are genuinely concerned, my employer has no choice. There are laws in place to protect you from this discrimination and victimisation. Do you have a union for your place of work? If not, verse yourself on employment law which you can quote when required. I'm truly sorry you are being treated like this for being ill. I hope the situation improves for you quickly x

Hi ladies thanks for your replies. My employers normally are very understanding. I have spoken to management, and they said that their main concern is for my well being and that I am not making mistakes while I am unwell. When I brought up the issue of the broken equipment , it was put to me that that was of little concern in comparison with the concern for my health and that they are not looking for a scapegoat. I'm just wondering why the issue of the broken equipment was brought up at all if their primary concern is for my health.

Feeling pretty paranoid at the moment. Have to wait for an OH appointment to come through, will mention my concerns to OH. in the meantime I have been advised to take it easy on my bad days and leave early if necessary.

I have a very understanding boss - who when I said "I think I need to leave" said "do need to do what's best for you" - so I'm leaving. I'm not sure what I'm going to do going forward - but I'm hopeful at present. It's a well paid role in a small company where I am instrumental to it's processes - and ive been messing things up left right and centre. I only started in February - I was diagnosed with "Severe, deep endometriosis including 3 large chocolate cysts and bowel adhesions" in April. It knocked me for six and I haven't been able to show them how good I can be.

I feel robbed - but I also feel relieved. I can eak out my last pay, I have tiny bit of savings and I plan a big eBay session once I'm out of here... but that's fairly short-term. I reckon I can be quite ok until christmas with funds - frugal living here I come - but if my surgery and recovery aren't done by the new year then... who knows...

I wish you the best of luck!
