Hi leannelouise

I was on gabapentin last year for seizures & pain. It does work but you need to be really careful with it (especially if you are on oramorph!) It can actually cause seizures (as it's an anti convulsant/anti epileptic) & I had to come off of it cuz it made my fits worse. Other than that good luck x

Yeah it can make you start having seizures but hopefully it shouldn't

Gabapentin didn't work for me so I switched to Pregabalin and have never looked back. It may be beneficial to look into if Pregabalin is more suitable to take with oramorph. It does take a few weeks to start working so stick it out :)

my specialist told me that all these drugs dont treat endo, they just reduce your brain activity! try get your endo removed by a proper specialist instead of a cocktail of dangerous drugs which dont work!

Hi - I have been on Gabapentin for 5 months and take 1800mg p/day.I find it is very helpful for the very sharp, shooting and burning pains I experience with endo.I use crutches and was in December unable to even put my foot down -I think I have endo on the sciatic nerve, like many ladies on here.Taken a bedtime it can also help you sleep. If it makes you drowsy during the day,you can take the daily dose at night.I do find I feel drowsy, but at least the sharp stabbing pains are very much better now.

You must be very careful to increase and decrease very slowly -300mg at a time or less,so take advice from your GP.It does not work immediately, somay take a month to see any effect, but worth persevering as it can be very effective.Yes it is a drug, but when we are in agony we need something to get us through.Without my cocktail of pain killers( which still just take the edge of) I would be bedbound.

Hope it helps for you.
