Ultrasound Scan Booked

Hi guys, I've got my ultrasound scan booked for the 23rd June so the doctors are checking for cysts first, how long after afterwards do they make an appointment for a lap to get it properly diagnosed?

How long is a piece of string? It could be weeks or months depending on the waiting list in your area. Ask to go on a cancellations list and you might be lucky to get an earlier date. Keep pressure on them to get seen, persistence can sometimes help.

My hospital booked me an ultrasound and it showed nothing. I didn't get to see a specialist for 4 months. The good thing is that the results come back quickly so you shouldn't have to wait too long to go back and get results from them. In my experience it took 12 weeks to get a referral x

GP ordered my ultrasound in December last year - had that in January. Had a referral a gynaecology clinic - saw the preliminary doctor at the clinic (not a gynae) on April 1st. They referred me to see the gynaecologis/surgeon. Saw him early May. Am now on laparoscopy waiting list with MRI happening in meantime.

Thank you everyone for telling me your time frames, it has helped alot, at least now i have some kind of idea of how long i will be waiting x

My scan was done in July last year... only just got an appointment with gynae now for the end of the month as my GP was reluctant to refer me... Seems some people have months to wait and others have a few weeks depending on the scan etc. Fingers crossed you get seen really soon! xx
