Why might I be bleeding lightly after sex?

So i take birth control and i just had my period it lasted for like 3 days and then my bf and i had sex a few days later and when i used theRestroom after i was lightly bleeding and it stopped but then the next day it started up again very lightly. Why could this be happening?

Aside from hormonal imbalances and other issues... I was told a cervical erosion can cause this symptom - and I was also informed that being on or having been on a birth control pill can cause the erosion (something to do hormones I think). It can be seen when a doctor does an internal exam or pap smear. Over here in the UK the smear tests are sometimes done by a nurse - that's who told me about it as she could see it. Then when I had an internal exam by a gynaecologist they confirmed it was still there some years later. I bleed every time I have sex. It's really annoying. I also was diagnosed with dysfunctional uterine bleeding as I bleed a lot outside my period. Not sure what to make of it all!

I have been having pains right below my ribs now too and its a very light pink discharge when i wipe or occasionally ill have drownish color discharge in my underwear. I go to a doctor tomorrow to see if they can tell me what is going on
