My period coming on 23rd may (and really can't go through the pain again) but having surgery on 31st May so do you think I could take Norethisterone for a few days to delay my period? Until my cyst is removed at least. I would like to ask my gynaecologist but it's hard to speak to him even on the phone!
Have you been prescribed them? If yes, I am sure that it would be okay. But it's always advisable to consult your GP first.
Having a laparoscopy is more successful if you are having your period at the same time. This is because any endometriosis within your pelvis, will also be bleeding and will be easier for the surgeon to see.
