Yes absolutely normal.

Any surgery - for anything at all - even a dental tooth extraction can knock your hormones out of whack and mess up periods. My Gp advised me many years ago now (when i had my gall bladder too as a matter of coincidence) that it can take up to 2 years for periods to settle after a surgery.

Infact mine had been 28 days clockwork before that op and were erratic ever since then right up till my endo surgery 10 years later which then got me on zoladex and mirena coil then kicked in later and stopped them completely.

So I don;t have any of that worry these days.

Having done more research since the endo op.

It does seem that if they don't settle in a few months, then using BC pills fora few months can be enough to get the monthly cycle back on track and more regular for some ladies.

rest assured it is much more common, than to not suffer any disruption to periods. You'd be in the minority if your periods just carried on exactly to schedule.
