I had my Mirena taken out 7 days ago last Wednesday.. On Friday started to lightly bleed, then since Saturday been heavy bleeding. I'm not sure if this is a normal period or just post Mirena bleed... If it is normal that would put my ovulation around next week... My partner and I want to start trying right away so if anybody has any experiences or tales about life after Mirena I would be very grateful! Not enjoying the pain that periods are bringing - so let's hope it's worth it in the long run!

Periods and TTC after Mirena...
I was told your fertility returns straight away as I have the mirena at the moment. So fingers crossed for you- good luck! Xxx
Well I had mine removed after 6 weeks of constant bleeding and pain as I was in agony after having mine inserted. I had a further 10 days of heavy bleeding and now I don't have a real period at all, just the pain and spotting. I guess everyone is different, as its whether you have any other underlying conditions, age, etc. I would speak to you Gynaecologist for the best advise, as my GP was useless, I am not sure if your Doctor knows more.
Wish you luck
Well I had the mirena taken out 2 months ago, i only had a litte bit of blood coming out not much for 3 days only - i was very emotional for 1 week - its been 2 month and still not period and i am getting swollen so I guess i am in a worse stage i felt soooo great having the mirena in-
I took it off because me and my husband would like to try to have babies, I am soooo hoping that I would have the gift to have babies but its hard to stay possitve when I am not feeling good and I am getting swollen again i Feel heavy and my boobs are so big and soooo sore
I am taken all natural vitamins that will help the baby and I am also taken "Vitex" that helps with all the swollen, pain and regulate periods. I am taken "MACA Powder" (YUK) but it helps with ovulating and fertility. I am taken "FOLATE" for the baby to be and "InNATAL" iron free which is a multivitamin for me and the baby to be and for breastfeeding.
I hope all of this start to help me as I hate this feeling of been swollen, no energy and heavy. I look after my health and i stay fit too.
