Really hurt myself earlier and pain keeps returning when stand - worried somethings wrong...

I was actually having a good day endo wise but really hurt myself at 4.30pm...

I stupidly ran across the room and got this sudden sickening pain. I felt like my womb and ovaries etc were getting pulled downwards or stretching, the pain was going round to my rectum and I felt sick. I sat down and it gradually eased so I got back up after an hour but it came back as bad as before. It eased again but this time I left it longer before getting up again - I've just got up and within mins it came back as bad as before.

I'm worried I've damaged something, cos it feels like I have. Is this normal for endo cos its never happened before, although it is getting worse all the time. Sara xx

Hi Sara,

Promise I'm not stalking you but I commented on your previous question a couple of days ago.

Back in the summer I crashed down on the floor messing about with my niece, and the pain was excruciating on my left side. (5 months post laproscopy with removal of endo and ovary). I thought I had seriously torn any adhesions that I may have had. It was sudden and intense. It was so sharp and felt as if I had ripped something. I was expecting to bleed but didn't. I nearly passed out with the pain.

So I can't say whether it was endo or what I had done internally to myself but I thought I would let you know that it also happened to me, which I would say is more than a coincidence! That pain only lasted for a week or so.

I dread to think what our insides look like and if it's all stuck together I guess there must be times when we pull it apart or stretch it too much. Especially sudden movements which is what I did.

Hi Evezy! Don't worry lol, I welcome your help! You've put my mind at rest again so thank you! Over the months I've adapted how I sit down so I'm not slamming down, and same for walking so I'm putting my feet down more gently if that makes sense, but I just forgot this time cos I was burning something in the oven! Still hurting today so just trying to sit as much as I can. Thanks again Evezy. Sara xx

Since my incident and not wishing to do it again, I now use my heatpad before I get out of bed or if I'm going to do anything more strenuous like hoovering, shopping etc for 20 minutes or so. Mentally I think that the heat is softening everything up inside so therefore more pliable and won't be hard and tear - well that's my theory whether right or wrong it works for me.

I have recently found a brilliant heat wrap - "QFIBER BODY HEAT WRAP"- it provides Infrared Heat so the heat actually goes deeper under the skin. Because it's infra red you can actually wear it over your pants.

It's great because not only does it work on the mains, it also works using the cigarette lighter socket in the car! Also it has a battery pack which takes 4 x AA batteries and this gives you 45 minutes of heat.

A cool pack can also be purchased which you simply put in the freezer until needed.

I wear mine out and about under my jeans. The wrap is really good quality and really really comfortable to wear. I've worn it in the car, round at friends, shopping and in restaurants. I never leave home without it.

Hi Evezy, hope you're well, or as well as can be with this stupid condition! Thanks - I'll keep that in mind as the pain is increasingly stopping me from going out so would defo help! Sara xx

Hi Gemx85x - Thanks for your reply. The only thing is, I didn't get a extremely sharp pain as it burst like I've heard happns - I had horrendous pain but was a constant strong feeling of everything inside getting stretched or ripped out of place and I felt sick and dizzy. On top of that, there were lttle jolts of pain as I moved to sit down. Eventually subsided when I sat down, but kept coming back when I got up and moved about.

Do you think that still sounds like it could be a burst cyst? I'm going to my docs soon to get referred for another Lap so will definitely tell them about this. Sara xx
