Interviewing for a new job.

Hey ladies. Just looking for some advise.

I've been signed off sick since July I've had two ops and now the doctor is telling me it's something wrong with my bowel not the endo. So I'm still waiting to find out why im still in pain.

How ever the only reason I'm signed off is because I work on homeshopping in a supermarket so it involves a lot of walking and lifting. Which causes a lot of pain. And the store has no other work for me.

I've managed to get an interview with a radio station which involves promotions and events. So I wouldn't need to do any heavy lifting or much walking

My question is. Do I need to tell the radio station I'm currently signed off work. And could I get in trouble with my current employer for going to interviews when I'm signed off?

Sorry it's a bit long winded. Just looking for some advise as the interviews today. Thanks for looking.

Sara.

Personally speaking you don't have to tell anybody anything. Go for the interview and if you get selected for the position then when the time comes for you to go for your hospital appointment you can explain things then. Employers normally ask if you mind them contacting your present employer for a reference, you can just say that at the moment you don't want them to, however they can contact them once you have been employed by them.
