Hi all, Happy New, hopefully pain free Year. I have been having prostap injections for three months, my last injection was 29th November, at the moment I have heavy legs, sweats, tender boobs and feeling exhausted but am wondering when can I expect a period?
Many thanks x

Anytime ata ll - the average wait is 5 months - but some ladies last 1 month some over a year and a small number never have one again. Ejoy your period free weeks - without any side effects from the drug. When it does return- you'll know about it and the endo wakes up too. So hope it is as long and pain free a time as possible so you can actually get out and about and have a normal life or a while.
Thanks for you reply, I already have the pain returning, I was period free for 2 months of the three and felt more like myself than I have for 2 years, I will be having my other ovary removed, and my womb as there is no need for it. Hoping I will feel more like myself permanetly after this. Hope you are well and pain free x
I have finished an 11 month course of prostap and am currently in the limbo land between the injections finishing and my periods starting again. I had my last injection beginning of July and it expired end of sept (was a 12 week dose), I haven't had my period yet but have felt like its on its way on-and-off since about October but no appearance yet and my consultant thought it would be 4-6 months from end of sept so I'm just waiting to see what happens as that timescale takes me up to February. As impatient has said, average is about 5 months but can be anytime from when your last injection expired and seems to often be linked to how long you were on the injections for as well, you weren't on them very long so it may be quite soon for you, but it's definitely no exact science! Just try to enjoy the time before it comes back
