I've been on 300mg 6 times a day for around 6 months. Not liking side effects like nausea vertigo tiredness. I've read about it recently and apparently its a horrid drug to be be putting into ur body

Im going to wean myself off it starting today I have surgery on 12th nov (2nd lap) so kinda worried that im not completely weaned off gabapentin cos obviously I'll need some other pill to take its place.

Im already on naproxen cocodamol and fluoxetine.

Hope u girl's are all ok xxx

I have exactly the same side effects and my gynae told me to take 3x300g 3 times a day O_O now I have finished taking them and only take one if the pain gets really bad but I've found even trying to start taking them again and weaning myself on has the exact same effects, I would say just stop taking them, they didn't work for my pain, I just got the side effects. I don't trust the doctors anymore so I just go with what my body tells me now, good luck with everything and I hope you get better soon xxx

Hi, I agree, I was taking gabapentin, fluoxetine , naproxen, sevredol and other strong painkillers. I realised that I couldn't think for myself, I was stammering a lot, I was very forgetful. Non of them helped at all so I just stopped taking them. I have for a few days cut done drastically on my fibre intake and have stuck to liquids only and have notice a difference in pain. My pains (touch wood) have not been that bad during the flare up. I have noticed that when I drink cow's milk and eat wheat products during the flare up I'm in total agony. So I have cut out dairy and wheat from my diet. I found that during the flare up sticking to liquids helps a lot with the pains.

I hope you feel better soon.
