No you cannot be cured. there is no cure for endometriosis yet.
We cannot answer as to whether you can get pregnant naturally or by IVF, because you must speak to your surgeon to find out where the endometriosis was found, and also what the scar tissue growth is like. Your surgeon should be able to advise you if there is a risk you may not be able to get pregnant naturally.
If there is nothing blocking the route for the egg to reach the uterus or womb then you should be able to get pregnant, but how long that will last depends on other things which are not endometriosis related.
The decapeptyl that you have been given, you need to ask was it for 1 month or 3 months.
However long it is for, you need to add 3 months more before it is safe to have sex without a condom. If you have sex before all of the drug is finished then you can harm an foetus if you get pregnant. This drug is not a contrceptive.
The time it takes for your periods to return is different for everyone. Some ladies get their period in 1 or 2 months, some ladies wait more than a year. So it is not possible to say when it will come back. The average is 5 months to wait for a period to start again after you have stopped the treatment.
Painful sex... no cure for that yet. You might find it helps to take pain killing tablets before having sex.
Hot flashes from the drug are just one of many side effects. If they get too bad, then you can ask your Doctor to give your Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT).
Get plenty of rest and keep drinking water so you do not get dehydrated.
Please speak with your Doctor if you find the Decapeptyl is having bad side effects on you.
The endo may be gone for now, but there is no cure, and there may be new endo growing that cannot be seen yet, and there is a chance the surgeon did not find all of the endo in your operation. He will have removed everything that he could see with stage 2, so for now it is very hopeful that you will be pain free for some time to come.
But unfortunately for a lot of ladies the endo does start up again eventually so we can never say we have been cured of endo completely forever. It just doesn't work like that.
i get pregnant normally 8 month ago , but misscarried happen , all my tests was normal until i did lap , so i knew that i dad endo , i dont know if it was before i get pregnant or after , now i had decapeptyl for 3 months which i think it will stop my period for 5 months as i read in leaflet , dr told me that decapeptyl will stop ovulation so any endo tissues will die in 90 day ,
i want to be pregnant , i am so unhappy , i am not sure if icsi will be sucess ornot
