Hi does anybody live close to Bridlington and is interested in attending a support group?. I am thinking of arranging one from where I work after I have recovered from my lap as I know a couple of people already who would go just wondered if there was anybody on here.
East Yorkshire support group: Hi does... - Endometriosis UK
East Yorkshire support group
Yes I do and have recently had my 7th abdominal op.
Have a frozen pelvis due to endo - frozen pelvis in the pouch of douglas etc. I had to have my two children by c-section. I then had to have my appendix removed. Fourth op, I had an umbilical hernia, then another suspected hernia that was endo outside the womb. Op no. 6 was when they tried to do a hysterectomy, only to discover how bad it was and managed to remove 1 ovary with a 11cm cyst. Just had horrendous experience being discharged from Scaborough, only to be admitted to Hull Royal next day - op 7 - endo twisted my small bowel and caused a blockage = 6 inches of bowel removed. Nice 11 inch scar - 40 staples.
Sometimes it is just good to talk. I am lucky - my Mum had it too (not so lucky really). Just been referred back to a gynae again to discuss med's as I am on Norethisterone. It is stopping my periods, but how did it attack my bowel with a vengeance?
Awareness needs to be put out there. Some people do not know what the disease is, this means some women will not know they have a problem, and just think they have bad pains etc. It would be interesting to see if a group could be held in this area as I did contact Endo UK a while ago but there isn't much going on around here x
Hope you don't mind, but just looked up the 'in you area' thing that is on the main page and forwarded your message. x
Hello. I'm in the Brid area and have been looking for Endo support groups to attend. Was diagnosed January 2013 and had a 4 hour op in November. Please people inbox me regarding meets or arranging one.
Best wishes x
