AM I DEPRESSED OR IS IT A SYMPTOM OF ENDO??

I HAVE NOT ACTUALLY BEEN PROPER DIAGNOSED YET, MY GYNE SUSPECTS IT SO I AM HAVING A LAPEROSCOPY ON 25 JUNE. I WAS JUST WONDERING IF ALL MY SYMPTOMS ARE DUE TO THE ENDO, (IF THERE IS ANY) OF IF I AM SUFFERING FROM DEPRESSION AS WELL AS MY PAINS........ I AM SO TIRED ALL OF THE TIME, PAST TWO WEEKS I HAVE BEEN TERRIBLE,. AND ITS NOT SOMETHING I CAN SHAKE. MY HUSBAND THINKS THAT THE PAIN IS GETTING ME DOWN WHICH I AGREE WITH TO A CERTAIN EXTENT. BUT IF IT WASNT FOR MY 2 CHILDREN 3 AND 6 I DONT THINK I WOULD GET OUT OF BED. MY MOOD IS SO LOW. I WORRY ABOUT EVERYTHING. I AM IN SO MUCH PAIN IT RUINS FAMILY TRIPS.I FIND IT DIFFICULT TO TO DAILY CHORES WHICH IS ALSO GETTING ME DOWN AS I THINK I HAVE A BIT OF OCD .IS THAT LINKED TO DEPRESSION?I HAVE SO MUCH GUILT FOR FEELING LIKE THIS. I LOVE MY FAMILY TO BITS AND DONT UNDERSTAND MYSELF AT TIMES. I DONT WANT TO GO TO THE GP AND TELL THEM THIS BECAUSE IM AFFRAID OF JUST BEING STUCK ON ANTIDEPRESSNTS AND NOT ACTUALLY GETTING TO THE BOTTOM OF THIS POBLEM... PLEASE HELP!

  • Hi, it might be that you have both? Maybe once you have had your lap you will have a diagnosis, obviously the pain can get you down though. It might be that your GP has a counselling service they can refer you to rather than just meds, although sometimes combined they can help you. I know that I have had bouts of depression and have endo and Im sure others have experienced the same. Hopefully you can find a GP that you are comfortable talking to, take care x
