Does anyone know anything about egg-freezing when there is a risk of ovary removal?

Am due to have a laparotomy next week to remove a 15cm ovarian cyst and have division of adhesions. I had a laparoscopy in July last year and have been taking Prostap but my cysts have grown back regardless and the largest is so big this time that they cant see what it is attached to. My consultant says that 9 times out of 10 they don't need to remove the ovaries but Im wondering how they go about things if they do have to remove them? will they wake me for consent? And does anyone know about egg freezing. I desperately want to do anything i can not to be left infertile.

I had a 15 cm cyst on my ovary when I was 15 and they couldn't see what it was attached to so, they asked my mum to sign a consent for a hysterectomy, should it be warranted rather than wake me and return me to surgery. I was fortunate that it was only wrapped around my fallopian tube but because of the consent for hysterectomy, it covered anything smaller also so I have my fallopian tube removed.

I am not sure if they would be willing to do egg collection which requires hormone injection which might put your cyst at risk of growth or rupture. When I had my 15cm cyst, I was operated on within 2 weeks because of the risk.
