Which hormone to take help!

Hi there

im hoping someone can give me some clarity..ive recently been diagnosed with endometriosis and have been told the usual..have the op, take hormones as well etc.. I have had problems with depression in the past so am concerned and not sure which pill or treatment is the best.

I had the coil a few years ago and did not get on with it..i am so unsure what to do and have a very unhelpful doctor

Hello am so sorry for getting the news that you have endo it's one of the worst things that could happen to a woman. My advice is when choosing a treatment you have to be very careful since you have had depression in the past because my endo was severe I was put on 6 months zoladex which one of the side effects is reducing ESTROGEN which leads to mood swings and suicide thoughts I suffered for 3 years that I ended up on anti depressants. I am still on it cos my hormone is still unbalanced, take care and good luck

I am so confused by it all, I am having pressure put on me to have the laparoscopy but was sterilised last year and had really tough time post op so am nervous about that and being able to look after my son

im sorry to hear you had to go back on anti depressant,s its tough and after being ill I don't want to go back down that road as I am on my own now
