That was interesting! I didn’t know any of that. Do you take a supplement now?

I take standard multivitamins and minerals - nothing exotic or fancy. They include magnesium stearate:

"Is Magnesium stearate good for muscles?

Magnesium Stereate has helped to considerably reduce muscle and joint pain, and it has helped to reduce muscle tension and also helps with my insomnia."

"Magnesium glycinate (magnesium bound with glycine, a non-essential amino acid) is one of the most bioavailable and absorbable forms of magnesium, and also the least likely to induce diarrhea. It is the safest option for correcting a long-term deficiency."

It all gets pretty confusing quite quickly for an Enker with short memory loss. :-)

Hi W, I just checked back to the article and found this excerpt.

"most of us need to supplement with between 300 and 450 milligrams of magnesium glycinate or magnesium citrate, forms of magnesium that are easily absorbed by the body."

So it seems glycinate or citrate are the best forms. :-)

Thanks G. My multivitamin and mineral supplement just says magnesium 100 milligrams. Looks like I need to find an actual magnesium supplement glyconate too . I’m going to read these articles. My daughter has been backing up what you’re saying too. Really useful. My brain, muscles and sleep need all the help they can get! 😊. Cheers.
