Waking up with swollen eyelids and itchy head

Against_the_current profile image

I don't remember eating something weird but i have a weird rash on my back, i guess something bit me. I noticed it like two days ago and putted cream and took antihistamines, i don't know why it's perceiving or whether it's something else. I sleep all day. And my head is itchy but can't put cream there. This allergy is driving me insane

Wow. There are so many things that can cause a reaction like that. You might need prescription anti-histamines. But stress can cause reactions like that, too. I see below your post several that are similar. I haven't read them through, but you might check them out to see if others have found relief from such a condition.

And I'll bet it's driving you mad. A persistent itch is its own special torment.

Itchy eyes could be too much time in front of the pc. Itchy head & back could be skin psoriasis. Try dark glasses when using the computer. Wetting the head daily & recommended shampoos for the head may have good results. Good luck.

Read your other post about living conditions. Dust mites may cause the symptoms you have mentioned. Good luck.

I have multiple allergies to various substances which include food, pollens, cat and dog fur, dust mite. Ask your GP to refer you to an Allergist. They should be able to refer you to someone who can do some testing for allergies. Unfortunately there aren't enough trained Allergy Consultants.

For me itching skin can be caused by something in laundry powder or soap or shower gel - I react to lanolin and perfumes. There is a great book on allergies by Dr. Jonathan Brostoff and Linda Gamlin called "The Allergy Bible" which explains the different type of allergies. It can be difficult to deal with at first, but I have lived with allergies for many years, and it is such a relief to find out what is causing some of your symptoms.

Symptons can become bad when the immune system goes into overdrive. It is best to use products on skin etc which are low in allergens. "Simple" products are quite good.
