How long does Rhinitis last? I am unsure if I have it but searching my symptoms are fuzzy head...nasal congestion....back of nose and throat feel sore when I wake up. I also have Tinnitus. .feel depressed...also eyes are very dry for which I am using a heated pad with eye drops daily.
My whole head feels spaced out..is this Rhinitis?

It is necessary to keep a food diary and make comments to reaction after fresh veg and fruits uncooked!
Not every GP know the answer I am afraid, Antihistamine (Zertik) can help, on line is cheaper.
Not all antihistamine over the counter can help!
Had a look thanks..my trouble is I hate having to take medication and trying to ease symptoms with Beach ams powders once or twice a day together with vice inhalant.
Once you take something that doesn't agree with you its a double wamy.
Doctors just send you away ...as though it's nothing. Very debilitating.
Anyone who has it must be driven mad crazy...head..eyes...ears...nose...throat....In the morning i must have beensnoring as my throat and behind nose is thick..but my nose is dry not runny..same with eyes.horrid.
Point take, I am speaking from 35 years of issues and experience. I cannot let shampoo run down my face!, the day or the night is lost.
Beecheams powder is not for allergy problems. This was the mistake I made back to 1979. I have learned a lot since then.
I had it for months, the main symptom was my nose just would stop running. I was prescribed a nasal spray and antihistamine tablets Which did eventually stop it

Allergy and hey fever reacts in different ways!
In an office environment, when the cleaning trolley goes by, I can react. In a training room when someone open a felt-tip pen to write, I can react! and many more.
The eye drops, nasal spray and antihistamine do help but not 100%, Summer days, sitting under a tree or gardening can also be a problem. On top of it some fresh veg and fresh fruits (protein) can bring on the reaction therefore only cooked fruits and cooked veg are the only option.
It sounds very much like it. I have the same problem and coincidently suffer from Tinnitus 24/7. Most steroid medication I used caused problems including anxiousness and depression. I found relief keeping the nasal area clean and using infants saline nasal spray. worked more gently and didn't cause nose bleeds. Vaseline inserted into the nose lining keeps out the dust and pollen and does help as it stops it reaching deeper into the sinus areas. Keep well hydrated .Good luck
Thank you 77bude...I will try to do these things. I will try anything within reason, but am loathe to keep taking drugs that our bodies eventually reject. The Beachams one or two a day and Vic on my nostrils and forehead is all I have used and hopefully with plenty of fluids I will get some relief.

Hallo Pollyanna65, I'm interested to see that you also use Vic in your nostrils as I find it really helps. Have not tried it on my forehead, surely it must spoil your bedlinen as it is rather greasy and smelly? I do agree one must try everything and anything to alleviate any symptoms and reactions to things, but as far as I've read so far, no-one has mentioned avoidance of things that cause trouble.
For instance, I never wear wool as I am sensitive to it, do not keep pets and avoid other people's if I possibly can. Would not grow plants such as alliums in the garden - they are are members of the onion family to which I do have a reaction. There are things one can do to lessen the effects and small measures one can take to make everyday life easier - I always wear a sunhat when the sun shines as I cannot stand it shining on my head (though I have thick hair), keep my eyes covered by sunglasses when out and about, or in very bright indoor lights, as sensitive to this.
Scrutinise all aspects of daily life and try to minimise contact with everything which causes a problem. You may be surprised to learn that I have often met people who seem to do the opposite of this - like a former neighbour, very allergic to horses (its usually the 'dander' or old dry flakes of skin in their coats) who insisted on going for a lesson at the local stables, but wondered why she never felt really well!

As I was growing up in Sri Lanka, from the trees the caterpillar hangs and the hair from the caterpillar can give problems to human body!!!

Well, many years of problems, with lot of experience but my experience is not in any test book!
So the story continues in me finding an answer to my allergy.
I avoid Jaffa cakes because they contain glucose fructose syrup which gives me gout. Now this might have nothing whatsoever to do with your problem.
Thank you for this info, I did get pain in my big toe due to the thigh foot ware, only once took blood test for gout. Blood test did not show problems.
The hidden sugar is what I watch out for now days.
