All I can say is keep trying. I haven't got any experience of this but I used to work in the NHS and heard another woman got it for a back problem. Can you get you get backing from your GP or a Union? A Fibro Support Group? A Solicitor? Looks like you need someone to take it up for you. All the very best!
HI, I am working for the NHS and my manager and matron have been totally unhelpful. I have even received a warning for my absence because I was absent twice for over a period of 15 days and I was told I had to work more on call!! I am now looking for another job. I would get in touch with your union so that when you broach the subject you know that you have somewhere to stand. Also self refer to occupational health and ENSURE you see the letter prior to them sending it to your manager and go and see your G.P. to see if you can get them to write a letter to say you need to be medically retired. Also it would be helpful if you see a Consultant for any of your conditions ask them to also write a letter suggesting medical retirement. I hope this helps.
Take care and good luck
Caroline
