Eczema flare up in Spring
Does anyone else suffer an eczema flare up during the change in seasons, particularly at the end of Winter going into Spring? I have had 2 nasty flare ups to my face, neck and shoulders in the last 2 weeks. This has happened to me in the past several times and was wondering if other eczema sufferers

Eczema
Hello! My 18-week old daughter was diagnosed with baby eczema last month. Her dad has eczema too. We have been on and off the steroid cream since :( Any tips on how to manage it and what has worked best for your little ones? I am off dairy, eggs and soy, also gluten-intolerant so no wheat and oats either

I developed infantile eczema in 1942 when my mother was unable to breast feed me anymore and I was transferred to a powdered milk. The eczema plagued me into my early twenties before almost disappearing. In December 2022 I was diagnosed with Covid. A few days later I was aware of two itchy red spots

Hi, I was diagnosed with an underactive Thyroid in April 2020. I am currently on 75 mcg of Levothyroxine. In the last couple of months, I have started to devolope patches of eczema. The GP has prescribed me with some steroid cream and I also use Hydromol emollient. However, neither of these products

Could chronic urticaria be related to underactive thyroid?
This year I developed chronic urticaria
and
then a different kind of
dermatitis
/
eczema
and
I want to rip my skin off it's so itchy. This week I did an Advanced Thyroid Function Blood Test (before 9.00am on an empty stomach) and the results are attached.

Eczema around eyes - Any Treatment advice?
Hi! Several months ago I started noticing red marks on my eyelids and above my eyes. This was during an asthma flare up. The doctor has since confirmed it's eczema and it's the first time I've experienced this. I was given Hydrocortisone cream (1%) which I used for 2 courses and this has cleared it up

Off topic-dry lips relief
I notice from time to time the subject of dry cracked lips. Like anyone who suffers, I’ve tried lots of different products. I stumbled across a recommendation for Bepanthen nappy rash cream. 🙄. I’ll try anything once. It works a treat for me and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone. If

care options for H.E and decompensated cirrhosis
Hey, hoping for some advice on care options for someone suffering with cirrhosis and H.E My dad was diagnosed this January, but clearly quite late on - he has since had 4 hospital admissions due to severe (stage 3) H.E and one time he went into coma (stage 4). This latest admission lasted 2 weeks

laxido IBS C. Intussusception, rectocoele and diverticulosis
hi all, I’d be grateful for anyone else’s experience with any of the above conditions. I take laxido every day and have taken them for about 2 years now. They make the stool softer to avoid diverticulitis but I still can’t have a BM by myself and need an enema. Does anyone else need these. along

prep for EBRT? Daily enema?
I’ve been getting some confusing, and contradictory info regarding what prep I’ll need when I start my EBRT next month, regarding enemas. I grasp that I’ll need to do one before my CT Sim Monday. But then on the instruction sheet Emory/Winship sent me, it said I would have to have one

I’m in so much pain these days and waiting to see the GI doctor to have a colonoscopy and a endoscopy done at the same time . Unfortunately Kaiser is such an amazing hospital that I can’t be seen till mid march since they have to make a bigger time slot for me to have both procedures at once. So he is

I feel like I’m dying.
After my first test today (anorecora manometry)…to see how my muscles are preventing me from pushing what’s inside to me - I got home and was hoping that I would not have the urge to go..but I did, when I tried, I got stuck as usual, and after TWO enemas - I’m finished. I feel like I’m dying …the only

Withholding, pain and severe difficulty with oral medication
Hi, not sure if anyone can help, professionals certainly haven't been able to find a way forward yet. We're at the beginning of our journey with my daughter (7) who is autistic with a PDA profile and severe oral sensory issues. Very restricted diet since birth, but no worries about weight/calories or

Why am I afraid to go to the bathroom?
I’ve been dealing with constipation issues for the past year. I can only attribute it to gettin older - never had any problems before that. I won’t go into the details of what I have tried - I’ve taken lots of great hints from videos and forums; a lot of it seems to work - and then it doesn’t.
