I just realised that my urinary albumin is 0.6 where as the normal range is between 0.2 to 1.9 but my urinary creatinine is 13.16 and acr ratio is 43.1,the normal range is till 30,indicating I have microalbuminuria.
I am a patient of hypertension although it's under control, and non diabetic.
I was over hydrated and could ACR be affected due to over hydration in diluting the creatinine concentration?
I am very confused.
All my other serum reports are normal including the cbc, CA 125, thyroid etc.
Can someone please throw some light.

Yes, overhydration can affect your ACR, but more importantly, if left untreated it can lead to dangerously low salt/sodium levels call hyponatraemia, and electrolyte imbalances which can lead to muscle cramps, unconsciousness, coma and in rare cases, death! It won't affect your results. Overhydration will lead to a lower reading in urine creatinine, as well as your protein concentration; giving you exactly the same score.
The universal gold standard for proteinuria is the 24 hour sample. However, ACR test can best approximate it.
I will go for renal diet. Limiting red meat, and fish thrice a week, and no milk, cheese, yoghurt, and butter. Can I have unsalted pumpkin and sunflower seeds on the days when I am not having animal protein. And is steel cut oats an option for me?
