Yes that seems about right but do follow the diet advice ref. lowering salt, protein, phosphates and sulphate levels and you will notice a great change in your energy levels. This should also improve your blood results. Take care i wish you all the best

Hi Lioncub56. It can be perfectly normal to feel tired and fatigued when you get to stage 4, it is certainly nothing to be concerned over. If you have any doubts then ask your doctor or nephrologist. The more you can find to be active the better you will feel. I am 73 and stage 5, and have been stage 5 for the last 3 – 4 years. I am still fairly active and able to take my ‘high energy’ dog for a walk several times a day. Yes, there are times when I just fall asleep for brief periods and some tasks now take much longer to complete but overall I feel fine.

Hi, what's you current GFR? I'm now at 30 which is close to stage 2 and when I complain about tiredness to my Dr she tells me my GFR isn't yet low enough to cause tiredness...something that I obviously disagree with

I feel fatigue all the time too. My doctor says anemia comes with ckd. I am anemic with stage 3. Maybe you are anemic? He prescribed iron 3d a wk.

I have been fatigued as well stage 3. When I changed my diet my energy is better. Smaller meals, low protein(2oz per meal) carbs equal to my protein, no dairy , more plant based proteins, no alcohol, more water more fruits and veggies. Red meat sparingly. No salt. I know it sounds rigid but I do feel better.

Hello, I found that fatigue and wanting to sleep a lot of the time - one of more dominant parts of CKD. Perhaps ask your doctor about iron levels ? Ending up with anaemia is likely, iron tablets or infusion maybe the way forward.

I’m currently stage 5 (gfr 12 at age 23), just started with iron infusion. Fingers crossed it helps with the fatigue.
