Hi. I'm newly diagnosed type 2.

I'm 29 and my bmi is 26.5, so I'm not overweight.

I'm on sukkarto 4 tablets a day, but still seem to have symptoms of Diabetes. There’s no change in my symptoms.

Welcome to the group.

Has your doctor suggested that you count carbs. for each meal and snack? Did your doctor say that they want you to eat low carb high fat or low carb high protein diets?

I know my glucose levels are 10.6 fasting.

When you multiply 10.6 and 18, you get 190.8. This is a little high after/before a meal and/or snack. There’s a posting on the Pinned Posts section for carb. Counting.😀

Hi, I'm Chrys and am pre-diabetic. I would be interested to know what symptoms you are experiencing. I have been referred to a neurologist as I have some very unpleasant symptoms.... pins and needles in feet, legs, hands and arms. I understand these are side effects of high sugar levels. I also nebulixe the antibiotic Coliston as I suffer with bronchiectasis ... a lung disease. Unfortunately, this peripheral neuropathy (pins and needles) I have could also be related to the antibiotic. Do you have these symptoms, and if yes how do you cope with them.

There are a lot of very knowledgeable people on this forum and I feel sure they will be able to give you some answers.

Oh, sorry, I forgot to welcome you at the beginning of my post do I'll end by saying.... good to have you on board Mrjay!

I'd be demanding a c-peptide test to confirm type of diabetes, assuming t2 is just wrong without having proof to back it up.
