Well, yesterday was very hectic with the sensor I had inserted on Friday (11-9-18). That sensor didn't even make it for 4.5 days! I had to replace the bad sensor and put in a new one last night after dinner. I called DEXCOM and requested to get a free sensor sent to me (this time, the call didn't get dropped on either end!). The new sensor should be here either Friday or later next week.
The sensor was having issues even when I was at work all day yesterday (we had an early Thanksgiving celebration for everyone). Some of the other Staff members got worried that something wasn't right. I told them that the sensor wasn't working right.
The sensor kept going to question marks and the hour glass. Never like the hour glass showing up!
Lunch time now here. Will be back when I can.

Gosh! Just when they seem to be working better. I wonder why they keep doing this? Is there an alternative you could get? It must be frustrating for you and your family and, the stress of all this won't do your blood sugars much good.
The one thing I can do is keep asking for free replacements until they can figure something else out that everyone can agree on. Until then, I have to use the G4 model.
I don't know what the G4 model is but it seems a farce that you have to go through this stress on such a regular basis. It is not good for you and not fair. You pay a lot of money for this necessary piece of equipment. Over here in the UK there is a similar testing kit but it is a postcode lottery who gets it. However, yesterday N.I.C.E., announced that it should be made available to all Type 1 diabetics. I have my doubts this will happen due to the very high cost. It's £150.00 for the start up kit and £50.00 every fortnight for the sensors. I need this equipment but they won't recognise my diabetes as T1 and keep insisting that it's T2 even though mine was caused by thyroid cancer, a rare cancer that affects women with T1 diabetes.
Anyway, rant over because I need my shut eye. Keep me posted about your sensors.
