I am new to the UK, having moved permanently from Vancouver and the US pacific coast about 2 mths ago. Have been diagnosed with D2 in Canada in 2016. I would like to share with u my experience with both Metformin and constipation.

First off, I would strongly advise u to take Metformin. I take a daily dose of 2500mg

(5 x 500mg) twice a day. It has been bringing my numbers down from 8.8 to 7.5 in less than 3 mths. Granted, they are big pills to swallow but they do the job and, at least, I don't have to deal with insulin .

Second, I also suffer occasionally from constipation. I find a fast solution by drinking a full glass of prune nectar. I never asked my gp about this and have to see him soon as prune juice is loaded with sugar and might not be the best thing to do.

But it's natural and yummy tasting.

Ask ur gp and ,if u have a chance, let me know.

Best of luck,

Chris from London
