Hello my friends.

I am chandan. I'm 35 years old. I'm 5.8 inches in height and 67 kg in weight. I've been diabetic for the last 8 years and taking two times a day my sitagliptin+metformin (50/500). I've been doing regular physical exercise, drinking 5-6 liters of water in a day and once a week, I will have an alcoholic drink (90 ml). My HBA1C was 7.7. My concerns are of the following:

1 Should i decrease medicine?

2 For gaining 7-8 kg weight, can I have a type of protein powder?

If I were T2 like two of my mates who are OFF medication for T2 I would work hard at it. Walks after meals & cut the sweet stuff right out. Lower carbs & I would be so happy to be able to do that
