Hi. I'm new here and I have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. I am on metformin and at the moment I feel light headed, thirsty, have a dry mouth and very lethergic all the time. I was not given any information, so I don't really know what to eat or anything else. Please any information would be great. Thank you.

Hi pugsnot

It's hard when you have no info , I'm still learning 7 years in .

Thirst and feeling lethargic could be from your diabetes .. Talk to your healthcare team. They should be keeping an eye on you.

Go back to your doctor and ask why you have no info and you want diet advice and tell them about your symptoms. Let us know how you got on. It cannot be acceptable that you are diagnosed and then left in the lurch.
