Sorry for the delay on typing this, but things were keeping me a little busy. This is the update on how things went with the DEXCOM when I had gone to the dance recently on Saturday evening.
Lamento la tardanza en la mecanografía de esto, pero cosas me guardaban un poco ocupado. Esto es la actualización en cómo las cosas fueron con el DEXCOM cuando había ido al baile recientemente el sábado por la tarde.
Before heading to the dance Saturday evening after eating at the food court in the mall near the center where the dance was supposed to be held, I had some Thai food for dinner. It was rice noodles (pad thai) with beef. It oddly worked out okay with the blood sugars since I've had this meal every time and the end results are always different! It's odd since I was exoecting to be running higher than I had, but it went down to something reasonable by the time 8:30 pm came. Even when I had seen the arrow going straight up it didn't get close to 400.

I had gone to the dance and the DEXCOM with sensor didn't fail! I'm so happy about that since I was expecting the system to not work because of past experience while going to dancing every so often. Lucky me! Something actually good happened at the dance. The only thing that wasn't good was, I had some stress from this one person sneaking up on me when I was talking to the Staff who were in charge of the evening's event. If I was an athletic runner, I could've won a race the way I was moving so I wouldn't have to deal with the person who did the sneaking up on me! The sad part, I know who the person is and I try to stay away. They don't get it!¡Había ido al baile y el DEXCOM con el sensor no falló! Estoy tan contento con esto ya que esperaba que el sistema no trabajara debido a la experiencia pasada mientras yendo al baile de cada tan a menudo. ¡Afortunado yo! Algo realmente bueno pasó en el baile. La única cosa que no estaba bien era, tenía un poco de tensión de esta persona que me mueve sigilosamente en mí cuando me dirigía a los Empleados que eran responsables del acontecimiento de la tarde. ¡Si fuera un corredor atlético, podría haber ganado una raza de la manera me movía así no tendría que tratar con la persona que arregló moverse sigilosamente en mí! On Sunday afternoon, I changed the sensor and started week 54. I changed it after the Farmer's Market that I had been to from 9 am to 1 pm. The calibration for the new sensor was done around 4:10 pm. After that was taken care of, I went out to dinner for Mexican food. I had some chicken, black beans, rice and some chips with salsa on the side. After that, went for a little walk on a boardwalk area of where I had gone and saw some geese moving in a lake. Really nice weather night for it!
El domingo por la tarde, cambié el sensor y comencé la semana 54. Lo cambié después del Mercado del Agricultor al cual había sido de las 9:00 a las 13:00. La calibración para el nuevo sensor se hizo a eso de las 16:10. Después de que esto se tuvo cuidado de, salí a la comida para la comida mexicana. Tenía algún pollo, alubias negras, arroz y algunos chips con la salsa en el lado. Después de esto, fue para un pequeño paseo en un área del paseo entablado de donde había ido y vi algunos gansos moverse a un lago. ¡Noche meteorológica realmente agradable para ello!
After the walk, went back home and had to have a few snacks. The numbers were in the 100's, but low 100's. If they had been higher, I would've waited for my normal snack time and just done it then.
Después del paseo, fue en casa y tuvo que tener unos bocados. Los números estaban en el 100's, pero bajo 100's. Si hubieran sido más altos, habría esperado para mi tiempo del bocado normal y sólo lo habría hecho entonces.
