Thank you! My blood sugars usually go lower in the heat. My numbers are not too bad considering that I had/have gotten food poisoning since Saturday morning.

Insulin Dependent so drinking lots of water when blood sugars are high. In hot weather generally do not feel that hungry so watch that, too.

Do you drink water and tea when you’re not feeling well, too?

I manage this depending on my glc levels. Usually my glc levels would be high and I would then increase my insulin and reduce my CHOs accordingly, as well as checking my ketones, and drinking plenty of fluids to help reduce the impact of the high glc. Depending on how ill I am I would also try and stay moderately active to help reduce the high glc.

Keep my fluids up, bt the heat has been effecting me. I have been doing a lot of yard work and walking the new puppy high exercise demand on my older body. Try and snack every several hours to balance the BS since I run very low. I need to keep my carb's and protien up. Salads are good for water.
