Dofetilide
I have afib and hypertrophic cardiomyopathy along with a history of 3 ablations and 7 cardioversions. I recently started taking Dofetilitde after the required 3 day hospital stay. IT is now 10 day later and I still have passing epidodes of afib. I am interested to hear about anyone else on defetilide

Apple Watch
I recently started taking
Dofetilide
, so maybe the medication is helping to resolve afib episodes. Any thoughts on how accurate Apple Watch is regarding afib?

Tikosyn (Dofetilide)?
Is anyone on this forum using this drug? Yesterday I met with a cardiologist who recommended it. (He was selling ablations, but when I said I thought I'd try medications for a while, this was the one he recommended.) Apparently it is less toxic in the long run than Amiodarone, but it requires three-days

AV Nodal Re-Entrant Tachycardia
He gave me various options i.e. more Metoprolol Succinate, going back on
Dofetilide
, or having an ablation. I chose the last option. I'll be having the SVT ablation (which he said is an easy fix), but he'll also check how the previous ablated veins are doing on the other side.

Not great news today
My new EP wants to try a Medication on me called
Dofetilide
. It is supposed to be as good as amiodarone without all the bad side effects of it because I cannot take amiodarone. The downside to it is that I will be in the hospital several days while they start it.

How long does it normaly take Dofetilide to work?
I have been taking
dofetilide
for just over 1 month. I don't have AF but thousands of PAC's, ectopics and atrial tachycardia every day. These palpitations keep me awake for hours every night. So far I have seen no relief from palpitations.

Back in a-fib.
Previously, I mentioned that my doctor was taking me off
Dofetilide
. I stopped it 8 days ago and this morning discovered I was back in a-fib, after 7 months in sinus. I'm sure it's caused by the stress of the present snowstorm.

Tykosin (Dofetilide) and kidney disease?
My mother has stage 3 kidney disease, and was just started on Tykosin. Her labs for creatinine and GFR are already worse after the initial 3 day dosing...anyone have similar experience? What happened? Any chance of improving the lab results once she's off the Tykosin? She just had 2nd ablation and

Hospital stay for dofetilide loading
. :( New med is
dofetilide
, I know that’s not available in the UK, I’m in the US. My EP has been suggesting the switch for a while now. But of course the 3 day hospital stay has put me off. Finally ready to get it over with and see if it works and gives me back my energy.

Update on my husband who stopped dofetilide (Tikosyn) after ablation
Update on my husband (57) who finally stopped
dofetilide
(Tikosyn) after having had an ablation last October. Well, after only a week, AF came back! (possibly triggered by alcohol). The doc said to go back on the
dofetilide
and up the metoprolol for his high heart rate.

Post ablation meds
Has anyone taken this drug, Tikosyn
dofetilide
? Or heard about it? It is an antiarrhythmic drug used to “help keep the heart beating normally in people with certain heart rhythm disorders of the atrium (the upper chambers of the heart).

Tykosyn Dofetilide questions
Tykosyn ( Dofetilde) I am 66 year old mail taking this drug for about two years now after three failed ablations. It seems to be working great no issues except weight gain. I am in sinus rhythm And I have only had about three a fib attacks where my heart would go up to 140 but would usually come
