Hi I’m Derren, I had a stroke in November, which has affected my visual field, does anyone no if I can still have COVID-19 jab if I’m taking atorvastatin, blood thinners and lansoprazole

I’m also on atorvastatin , lansoprazole and clopidogrel for silent stroke but got my covid jab AstraZeneca on 1st March , Had sore arm for couple off days but fine . But best checking with doctor if unsure

I believe you can I have had a stroke which has left me with Thalamic Pain Syndrome and like you are on all types of medication. I would say I believe you can but ask your doctor or local pharmacist who will put your mind at rest. May I say, there is life after a stroke. Take every day as it comes and when this is all over see if there is a local stroke group nearby. I was very lucky and from a hermit, having spoken to no one for about 8 months I joined and I have not looked back. Do not do this on your own. You may feel depressed and you may cry, but this is normal for all stroke survivors. Good luck

Hi Darren. I am on clopidogrel and lansoprazole plus meds for high blood pressure after having a stroke and I had my Covid vaccine 4 weeks ago. Hope this helps.
