Son’s wedding. I made it and I am so happy.

I had been feeling unwell with dizzy spells, anxiety and depersonalisation for over 6 years. Got fobbed off by my GP .

Was eventually referred to the balance clinic who gave me eye exercises. Still felt unwell but struggled through it.

One day at the balance clinic they noticed nystagmus in my eye (remember James Galway on the flute with the wobbly eyes?) so sent me for an MRI scan.

Results took 6 months to be sent to my GP (still don’t know why - I chased them up 4 times )

Results show I have had 2 strokes (not TIA’s) and a bleed on the brain. (Bleed must have been from an accident at 13 me VS car).

No apology (of course) from the GP who originally thought I was a moaning middle aged menopausal woman.

Sent to the stroke clinic and am on 5 different meds (3 new ones from the stoke doctor)

I went through a few weeks of thinking I was going to drop dead at any time.

My eldest son thought the same, and decided that life was too short and organised his wedding to his sweetheart.

No stress from families- he put all the details of the wedding on a private facebook page - all I had to do was turn up.

The wedding (registry office was perfect)

Meal in a nice pub next to the registry office was perfect

The evening do was lovely too- a bit too hot in the room for me but ok. I got there at 6-30pm and left at 9pm.

So, 50 years old, first born married to a wonderful girl.

I thought I wouldn’t make it but I did and I am so happy.

Sounds similar with GPS who aren't bothered.

Lovely pic though ☺
