Can I suggest you check with the pharmacist that is going to actually dispense the medication, they tend to much more up to date with this sort of issue.

I think you should check with your GP - I am on Clopidogrel and have not been told this. You could also read the details with the medication. The only thing I can't eat is grapefruit - I'm also on simvastatin.

Hi

I suffered a cvst ( rare form of stroke - Oct 2014 ) - and on warfarin - the "book" advice was to avoid things with vitamin K ( green veg, blue cheese, chickpeas, avocado ) but as soon as I said " Impossible - I'm a vegetarian and would think nothing of having 3 of those together in a sandwich or salad most days if not twice a day" the medics agreed that generally the other good benefits of such things outweigh the need to avoid them and we regulate my INR through warfarin dosage. And I know if I eat less healthily I feel worse and have to take less warfarin to maintain safe INR.

Sorry, I know your question actually referred to clopidogrel and not warfarin - I'd check with local nurse /gp.... wouldn't want to miss all the other nutrients in yummy green/leafy veg if you don't need to avoid ?

Good luck :-) K
