Why A High Fat diet is healthy and safe?

Avoid TRANS FAT.

Other than that read following:

It's really difficult to deal with doctors and NUTRITIONISTS who despite all the evidence still talk ADA NONSENSE. They won't discuss .. most will just scare with heart attacks. On this very forum in questions section there's a case where STATINS are givejn for Cholesterol level of 160. Ridiculous.

Dr Richard Bernstein joined medical school at age of 45 just because he was fed up of doctors of his time. He is a Type 1 diabetic himself. Google for Dr Bernstein and learn more from a diabetic.

  • Oh and i forgot ... FAT doesn't cause INSULIN response like CARBS or Proteins. HIGH FAT Diet is good if you are on LOW CARB diet. If you cannot get off CARBS then don;t think about high fat diet. You need to be restricting yourself to 100gms carb/day max for a high fat diet. The diet will also help reduce weight.

All those who switched have befitted to a very great extent so much so that they have either gone off all medicines or have switched to relatively safer drug like metformin

I am talking as a Type 2 (non In sulin dep[endent) who has taken no prescription drugs from starting level of 129/229 (FBS/PPBS).

  • Few links which are from a site managed by a diabetic since 1998 and who eats 110gm carb/day and no more. Other source of energy is obviously FAT:

There's also a calculator on how much protein a diabetic should be eating as maximum because protein also triggers insulin response and here's the link:
