Dabetic using HM 40 insulin 30 units twice daily for 25 years. (due to an accident left leg was amputed). Sugar levels 140/240.

Sorry to read this,but in diabetes management,the most important person responsible is you,not the doctor nor dietician nor any one else.In that sense please give up sweets and drinks..Drinks make the sugar level rise very fast and then suddenly drop.Your diabetes management gets skewed up.Drinks also aggravate the neuropathy caused by diabetes.

Sweets are equally bad.
